How much commission do you charge to conduct an estate sale?
Our fees vary depending on the amount of work necessary. Most sales are 35% commission. We bring experience, knowledge, common sense, and confidentiality to every client; you definitely get what you pay for!
Do you offer Layaway at your estate sales?
No, because of the nature of estate sales, we usually have to be out of the location within a few days.
Can I return the item I purchased at your estate sale?
No, because of the nature of estate sales, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS-IS. Always inspect the items before you purchase them.
Do you offer delivery?
Yes, delivery is available for a nominal fee. We also work with several delivery companies that can handle long distances or uniquely sized items.
Do you conduct appraisals?
Yes. We have an extensive library on premises as well as the resource of the combined experience and knowledge of the staff at Pleasant Cove. We also consult with experts in every category of?collecting. If we don’t have the answer, we know who does.
Do you charge for an at home/location consultation about an estate sale?
No, we are happy to meet with you at your location to discuss a possible sale at no cost or obligation to you.
How large is your company and or staff, are my items safe from theft?
We are the oldest estate sale company in Northeast Florida. First as Bayard Antique Village (started June 1967), then as Pleasant Cove(started April 1993). We have a complete staff that works to prepare, then conduct the sale. We have all of the supplies necessary, including locked cases for your valuables, tables to display your items and adequate signage to promote your sale.
What if we want to sell our home?
One of our business partners, Donna Poor, is a licensed sales associate with NuView Realty, Inc., specializing and serving Jacksonville’s real estate needs since. Thus, making us uniquely qualified to market your house during the estate sale process.
Do you allow your staff to purchase from the sale?
Yes, we do.? They may only purchase items after the sale has opened and are required to pay full price.? On days where there is a discount in place, they can only purchase after the discount has been in force for one hour.
